Can Rhododendrons be started from seed? I can not find them any where. I have family in Iceland and they would like to try and grow them.
Thanks for you time,
Sandy

Rhododendrons can be started from seed, but seed is somewhat difficult to find, unless you know someone who is growing rhodies and would be willing to collect and save the seed for you. There is a seed exchange sponsored by the American Rhododendron Society (http://www.rhododendron.org/) and you may want to visit their website and read the seed catalog. For seed starting advice, the following website can provide all the information you'll need.
