| Does using the serrula interstem on the flowering cherries have any effect other than the very pretty bark? Does it change the vigor or ultimate size of the tree? Thanks, John |
| It won't change the vigor of the tree but may increase the height of the tree, and it's overall shape because the branches produced on the interstem will be serrula and have those characteristics, which are different than the growth characteristics and appearance of shirotae. |
