Weeping willow will grow in Zone 8B, but it requires a lot of water or it will dry up almost immediately. You might be happier with a desert willow, a plant that can adapt to your summer weather without problem. If you decide to plant a weeping willow, plant it in full sunshine, in moist but well-draining soil.
