Greetings to you all:

I was wondering if the ashes from the freplace are good to put in the garden. We burn wood.

Thanks

Wood ashes can be incorporated into your garden soil at the rate of about 5 pounds per 100 square feet. Ashes are alkaline, so don't pile them up under trees or shrubs that prefer acidic soils, and try not to apply ashes to the same garden spot more often than once every 2-3 years.
