Your zip code places you in zone 6B or the warmest part of zone 6. For an exposed or windy location however the microclimate could make it a bit colder than that. I would look into junipers, arborvitaes, and possibly spruces. I would not recommend Leyland Cypress for an especially windy site. Your selection will depend on how much space is available for the plants to grow and what height you have in mind, what type of soil you have, and whether or not they will be in full sun. Your local county extension and/or local professionally trained nursery staff should be able to help you analyze the growing conditions where you want to plant and based on knowing that, help you select plants to meet your design goal. Enjoy your evergreens!
