The Q&A Archives: hydrangea

Question: What plants can substitute for Hydrangea?

Answer: There are a number of shrubby type plants similar in size to hydrangea, but I don't think there is a substitute for the unique type of flowers a hydrangea produces. If you can be more specific as to the planting site, the size of the shrub you're looking for, and the flower color, we can suggest some alternatives.
