| You have a long growing season in your area so you can sow the seeds directly in your garden. For future reference, carrot and radish seedlings can be started indoors and set outside without problem. When you thin the seedlings, use a fork or stick to work a clump of seedlings out of the tray. (If you pull out individual plants, they'll be damaged.) Separate each plant and put it in a small pot. Then when it's time to move them to the garden, shake the plant and the soil out of the pot and put them both into the garden, disturbing the roots as little as possible. Root crops can be set back a little by this process, but they will quickly recover and grow well for you. |
