Do campsis vines grow well in California? Also, is there any species of campsis that loses all its foliage during the winter? Or is there a vine similar to campsis that loses all its foliage during the winter?
Thank you

Campsis radicans, the trumpet creeper, does grow well in California. There are are several other vines you might consider:
red morning glory (Ipomoea coccinea) is an annual; cross vine (Bignonia capreolata) semi-evergreen; cypress vine (Ipomoea quamoclit) and trumpet honeysuckle (Lonicera sempervirens) semi-evergreen.
