The Q&A Archives: When can I trim my mimosa tree?

Question: I have a rather large mimosa tree. I would like to trim it but I'm nor sure of the right time to do this. Can you help me?
Thanks, Cindy

Answer: Cindy,

Now is a good time while it is still dormant. If you wait until early spring it will tend to weep sap from the cut ends which is not life threatening but it's better to get it done now.
