The Q&A Archives: Day Lilies

Question: Will deer eat day lilies? The lily I like is the Dwarf Pot Lily called Red Carpet but we live where there are alot of deer.

Answer: While not on their list of favorite plants, daylilies are sometimes victims of nibbling by deer. You can help deter them by planting your daylillies among other less attractive plants, such as those with thorns or fuzzy leaves.
