We live in an area that gets real hot in the summer - and we are in need of shade FAST!! The front yard is pretty big & exposed to wind. So we're looking to plant fast growing evergreen shade trees & shrubs. Looking thru your plant search, we found a tree that we really liked - Golden Wonder Senna (#2294). Could you suggest others? They don't have to flower - just give shade. Pls Help!!Thank you very much.

Golden Wonder Senna is a good choice, as are Ornamental pear (Pyrus kawakami), Cork Oak (Quercus suber) is evergreen, and tolerates wide range of growing conditions. Other suggestions include Holly Oak (Quercus ilex), Japanese Black Pine (Pinus thunbergiana), and Torrey Pine (Pinus torreyana). Best wishes with your landscape!
