Monrovia carries TUFTED HAIR GRASS (Deschampsia caespitosa viviparia) and EVERGREEN MISCANTHUS (Miscanthus transmorrisonensis), both of which are native to California. Plants that have adapted to, and are widely planted in California include BRONZE NEW ZEALAND FLAX (Phormium tenax 'Atropurpureum Compactum' ('Monrovia Red')) and JACK SPRATT NEW ZEALAND FLAX (Phormium tenax 'Jack Spratt'), as well as FESTIVAL GRASS? CORDYLINE (Cordyline x 'Jurred' Plant Patent No. 14224).
