Last year I bought and planted an Orange Cape Honeysuckle. It did very well and produced beautiful flowers. Toward then end of October, the leaves turned brown and all fell off. As of today, the branches show no sign of new growth. It is listed as an evergreen. Is the plant dead? :)Lori |
Orange Cape Honeysuckle (Tecoma capensis) is evergreen in mild winter areas (USDA zones 9-11). In your region it often freezes down to the ground but then produces shoots from the base of the plant in late spring (when soil and air temperatures warm up). Don't give up on your plant just yet - it should return later this spring. |
