| I am looking for a shade tolerant conifer that will work for a narrow informal hedge/screen. The area of my garden will get some early afternoon sun so it isn't full shade. How would Emerald arborvitae work? I need to screen about 15'-20' amd can either plant multiple trees that are very narrow or 3-4 wider trees. |
| Arborvitae prefers growing in full sunshine but will tolerate morning shade as long as it gets afternoon sun. It's the best choice for a tall and narrow evergreen for the site you describe. |
