ther palm growing - Knowledgebase Question

hi I keep going ahead of my self,
I have a sago palm and it's growing some tall and long stems what should I do? this is taking over my space now, so far it owns it's owns space in my living room. should I cut it?.

Palms send out new leaves at the top and then the lower leaves die off. So it is not a good idea to prune off the new growth. The new growth goes upward first and then arches out and down as it unfurls, so it may not be quite as tall as you think. If it is getting too big for your space, maybe you could find a new larger home for it (for example, maybe a library or school with an atrium would like to have it) and move it there this summer. Then you could replace it with something smaller. I'm sorry I can't be more encouraging.
