Holes in my lawn! - Knowledgebase Question

I noticed yesterday that holes have appeared all over my lawn! They are about 2 inches in diameter but I don't see any evidence of tunnels on the surface. The holes do not go straight down but seem to veer off to the side. I am hoping to find out what this is and stop it before it creates any more damage! Thanks!

It is some type of varmint such as a skunk or armadillo (if you have those in your area). Contact your County Extension Office for free information on how to identify the culprit and then how to control them.
