About 12 years ago my boys planted an orange seed and we transplanted it to our back yard (west central florida). I know if you plant from a seed it could take a long time to fruit. It's over 10 feet tall, and has not bloomed yet. Do you think it ever will? |
Susan, Yes it will eventually bloom and bear fruit. It is difficult to predict how long it could take to bear fruit although some begin bearing in about 7 years. Growing conditions can also affect the length of the juvenile period. Your tree could take a few more years or could bloom next year. I think it is about time though and I'm sure you agree! Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon! |
