About 12 years ago my boys planted an orange seed and we transplanted it to our back yard (west central florida). I know if you plant from a seed it could take a long time to fruit. It's over 10 feet tall, and has not bloomed yet. Do you think it ever will?

Susan,

Yes it will eventually bloom and bear fruit. It is difficult to predict how long it could take to bear fruit although some begin bearing in about 7 years. Growing conditions can also affect the length of the juvenile period. Your tree could take a few more years or could bloom next year. I think it is about time though and I'm sure you agree!
