Are morning glorys an perennials? And do they need a trellis or will they grow up the sides of a deck post?

Morning glories climb by wrapping around any vertical support. The vines will twine themselves up the sides of the deck post and won't need a trellis. You may have to coax the vine to grow around the post at first, but once it gets started it will scramble up all on its own. Enjoy!
