The Q&A Archives: Trimming Mums

Question: Do mums need to be trimmed to produce better flowers and if so, when and how often?

Answer: Mums can be encouraged to grow lush and full by cutting back twice a year. In June, cut back the chrysanthemums to 2" in height. In July, cut them back to 6" in height.
