best time to plant in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX area - Knowledgebase Question

When is the best time to plant a bradford pear tree in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX area. I'm moving in a new home in April and would like to plant some new trees and plants, any suggestions? I would like to plant blueberry shrub/tree too. Would this be a good idea?

Planting time in Dallas is anywhere from fall to late spring. Summer is a possible time if you have container grown plants but it is more stressful to the plant and requires more attentive care to achieve success.

That area is a bit iffy for the Japanese blueberry shrub (Elaeocarpus decipiens) when it come to winter hardiness. The following website provides more information on landscape plants for the area:
