| Joanna, Planting time in Dallas is anywhere from fall to late spring. Summer is a possible time if you have container grown plants but it is more stressful to the plant and requires more attentive care to achieve success. That area is a bit iffy for the Japanese blueberry shrub (Elaeocarpus decipiens) when it come to winter hardiness.
