Answer: I'd be suspicious. Leaves streaked, mottled or spotted in light green or yellow, distorted leaves, and stunted plant growth are all symptoms of viruses such as rose mosaic, rose rosette, rose leaf curl and rose ring pattern. For a positive diagnosis, take a sample to your local Cooperative Extension office, Master Gardener Clinic or nursery. If they diagnose the plant as having a virus, I'd dig up and destroy the plant.
