Large exposed area of a beautiful stone foundation, just want to enhance,not cover. - Knowledgebase Question

We have a beautiful stone foundation and we have just remodeled the exterior of the house and are doing new landscaping for the front. The left side of the front foundation is high, perhaps 5 feet. I like the appearance of the dwarf burford holly and was wondering if that plant can be trained and pruned to obtain a

Dwarf Holly can be pruned as you suggest and would make an attractive addition to your landscape. You can train a number of shrubs, both evergreen and deciduous into the shape you desire; Daphne odora, common lilac, and pieris are other suggestions. Rhododendrons often develop bare branches as they mature and might also be a consideration for the site. Best wishes with your landscape!
