Pride of Madera - Knowledgebase Question

I have bought several Pride of Maderas from you over the years. I have noticed that they seem to come in two forms -- one is a tight, mushroom shaped plant that maintains it's shape as it gets older. The other is more sprawly and, in my area, is prone to branch breakage this time of year (like last night when I lost 2/3 of the plant). I have noticed that each year seems to have one or the other.
