I want to purchase the Magical Gold Forsythia and the Golden Sunrise Spirea but I cannot find them in my area. Will they do well in this area. I live in a suburb northwest of San Antonio, TX. My heat zone is 10. I appreciate any help.

David,

Forsythia just doesn't bloom well or dependably that far south. The Golden Sunrise Spirea is not as picky about having lots of winter chilling and thus may do okay if you give it a soil with some peat moss or compost added to build up the organic matter and improve drainage. Put the plant where it gets a break from the brunt of the hot late day sun and make sure it gets plenty of morning to noonday sun. Keep the soil moist but not soggy.
