If your plants need some renovation, now would be a good time to do it. Begin by cutting back all the winter damaged foliage, then dig the plants up and cut through the root mass to make several divisions. I use a spade to cut through mine when it's time to divide. Then replant all the divisions. The plants probably won't bloom this summer, but next summer they will be well established and ready to bloom for you. Enjoy!
