| You can apply lime now, yes. How much to use depends on the existing soil pH. You need to run some soil tests to find out if you need to lime and, if so, by how much. If you need to make a big change in the pH, you would apply the lime several times over the coming year or two until the desired change is accomplished. Lime is slow acting and lasts a long time, so you probably would not need to lime every year. Your local county extension should be able to help you with the testing and interpreting the results. |
