The difficulty with identifying plants by common names is that the names are only common to specific regions. However, I think you're referring to Epiphyllum oxypetalum. It is a member of the cactus family and is hardy only to about 40F. If your garden remains that warm in winter, you can set the plants outside. If it gets colder, you'll need to take them indoors over the winter months. They grow in full sunshine out doors or bright light indoors and although they are cacti relatives, they need to be watered regularly. Best wishes with your plants!
