I would love to buy your Tiny Tower Italian Cypresses for the big concrete pots on my back patio. However, I've had one garden center tell me they've stopped carrying them because the heat is too much for them here. I live just north of Atlanta. Another center just warned that I need to water them a lot--maybe every day. I don't mind watering them although I doubt they would need it every day. However, I don't want to make the investment if the heat is going to get them anyway. Please advise as to what you would recommend.

Van,

The Tiny Tower Cypress is rated as far south as Heat Zone 10 and you are in about heat zone 8 so the heat is not a problem. Container grown plants do need more water. The larger the container the less often you will have to water. With a very large container you may water only 2 or 3 times a week in the heat of summer.

Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
