Do Tall phlox need full sun?

Can you tell me anything about Bev Jensen plants? What do they need/ Do they need full sun? Can I buy some seeds? I saw them in Calif. and they are gorgeous. Do we have them out here? Dorian.. thanks.

Russian Sage does best in full sun all day, it loves sun and requires a well drained soil. Tall garden phlox also does best in full sun all day long but will grow in a half day of sun, meaning at least six hours of sun including the hour of noon. Penstemon "Bev Jensen" is a hybrid penstemon that is only winter hardy in zones 7 to 9. Unfortunately it would not survive the winters in your area. You would need to purchase plants that have been vegetatively reproduced as it would not come true from seed. Penstemons require well drained soil and should be mulched with gravel rather than organic mulch; they do best in full sun but will tolerate a half day of sun as described above. There are many other penstemons however that should be hardy in your area. I hope this helps.
