Does potato vine loose its leaves during the winter? I didn't think so, but mine have and they aren't showing any buds. I live at 2800 feet outside of Yosemite, CA in zone 9 ( I think)

Thank you for your help.

Potato vines are not cold hardy and will be damaged if temperatures dip below 40F. If you received frost over the winter months, your potato vine may have died back. If the roots remained alive they will send out healthy new shoots from ground level. I'd prune back the dead tops and wait to see if the roots send out new shoots. Hope they do!
