WHEN DO YOU CUT BACK THE FOLIAGE ON ANNUALS AND HOW FAR DO YOU CUT THEM BACK?

Annuals live for only one season. They grow, flower, set seeds and then die. You can sometimes get a second flush of blooms if you cut the plants back by one-half after they've flowered but before they set seeds.
