Yesterday I purchased 3 Female Skimmias and 1 Male. I questioned whether the one labled Male was in fact Male. The sales person assured me it is Male. The plant has berries but no blooms like the picture. The label said Male. I am concerned because I only bought one labeled male. Please advise.

Sincerely,
Margaret Jay

Margaret,

The bloom bud can look a bit like berries but that said, if the plant has berries it is by definition NOT a male. Berries only form following blooms on female plants.
