IT APPEARS THAT THE WINTER GEM BOXWOOD IS ONLY SOLD IN A POT. MAY I TAKE IT OUT OF THE POT AND PLANT IT DIRECTLY INTO THE GROUND? IF NOT, COULD YOU PLEASE RECOMMEND A SIMILAR LOOK SHRUB THAT I MAY DO SO?

THANK YOU

Nancy,

Yes in fact it would prefer to be in the ground. When you remove it from the pot check to make sure there are not a lot of roots circling the exterior of the root ball and if so unwind them or cut downward through the exterior of the root ball from top to bottom about 1/2 inch deep in 3 places around the root ball to severe the roots. They will then branch out underground better and the plant will establish much better.

Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
