My seven bougainvillea were damaged by frost this winter. Should I trim back the dead branches or wait until spring for new growth? I am concerned that the damage is too great for recovery.

Prune back the damaged areas to encourage new growth. If the roots survived the cold weather, the plant will quickly recover in the spring. Bloom may be sparse this year, but the plant should be able to produce new blossom buds for next year. Hope your weather's better next winter!
