How can I to save a plant when its leaves are turning yellow color?

There are an number of reasons leaves turn yellow. Usually it indicates overly wet soils but it could also indicate a lack of soil fertility. You didn't specify a plant so I'm at a loss to offer specific solutions to the problem.
