Violets to grow outside - Knowledgebase Question

I'm looking for violets that grow outside like in Georgia where they grow wild. I found a name in Birds and Bloom Nellie Britton (Haselmere) but have been unable to get any information from them or any other entry on the google search. Everything comes up for African violets. Thank you

Vickie,

You are probably talking about a plant called Wood Violets (Viola odorata or Viola floridana). The following website gives a photo and more info.
