Some drooping is normal when temperatures turn suddenly warmer, especially with a newly planted tree or shrub. Dogwood hates soggy soil conditions and such can cause root rots and death of the plant. Do whatever you can to insure the soil is moist but well drained. In time your new tree will get a good root system established and be more resilient.
