What is a good and humane way to get rid of Canadian geese? They have become quite a problem tearing up the grass by the roots. |
Your lawn is either near water, or it's full of grubs which are attracting the geese. You can try to make the lawn a less attractive place to visit by pounding stakes around the perimeter and stringing fishing line between the stakes. If you make it difficult for the geese to land and walk around, they'll eventually find another place to gather. Just string the fishing line back and forth over the grassy area so there's no more than about 12 inches between the lines. The birds won't be injured and will soon learn that they're not welcome in your yard. |
