Getting rid of squirrls - Knowledgebase Question

I'm having a really big problem with squirrls. Do you know of any form of non-toxic repellant that I can utilize that will not harm the squirrls but will drive them out of my garden. I have a rather strict and unforgiving homeowners policy and the use of any type of fence no mater how short is greatly frowned upon within my subdivision. I understand that pepper and garlic placed strategically in the garden will work, as well as planting marigolds. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
