The Q&A Archives: replant blooming gardenia

Question: Can I replant a gardenia FROM a POT to my YARD when it is BLOOMING?

Thank you.

Carolyn Cunningham

Answer: Carolyn,

Yes you can. To give you plant its best chance of success keep the soil moist but not saturated as both dry and soggy soil are deadly to a new transplant dealing with the heat of summer.
