It is possible to grow a palm indoors; you need to select a palm that is suited to container growing and tolerates relatively low light; it is also helpful to provide supplemental humidity for it during the winter heating season when indoor air tends to become extremely dry. You might try one of the Lady palms if you have space for it. Here is information about a number of different palms and how to care for them as houseplants.
