Pruning - Knowledgebase Question

I have a Kyushu Hydrangea and I am wondering if I should cut the flower blosums off of the ends of the stalks from last year?

Yes, you can certainly deadhead it now. Do that once the blooms fade or wait until spring, this is up to your personal preference. Also, if you need to do any pruning to shape the plant, do that in late winter to early spring as well. (This is a type of Hydrangea paniculata and it blooms on new growth of the season -- do not prune it in the summer or you will remove blooming wood or buds.)
