I cut a big water sprout from one of Japanese persimmon trees. Would a rooted cutting eventually produce a productive tree. I wouldn't think so, but it can never hurt to ask. I finally got a mango from seed! The leaves are beautiful, si I can keep it 'til it dies or cracks the largest pot I can find --- WHEN I'll need it!

Thanks again,
Dianne Acosta

Dianne,

A persimmon sprout would be virtually impossible to root so I would no bother. The mango can be kept in pots moving it up to larger pots as much as you can. Move it in for winter and them back out again next spring.

Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
