I am planting bulbs and bare root perennials in a new garden this month (April / May - zone 5). When can I expect to see these things growing and blooming- this summer, or next?

The bare root perennials should begin to grow within a few weeks after planting; the bulbs, if they are summer or fall blooming bulbs will pop up this summer or fall. Spring blooming bulbs are typically planted in the fall (daffodils, crocus, tulips, etc.). Enjoy your garden!
