The Q&A Archives: Deciduous Shrubs

Question: I was just given a Cytisus Spachianus - Genista Racemosa. Is this shrub deciduous? This will be a factor in placement in my yard.

Answer: Cytisus Spachianus is deciduous in that it loses its leaves, but the stems of the plant remain green all year around so there will be some winter interest.
