I have sandy soil on a hill. The deer love my phlox, evergreens (rub their horns on) and like my hosta. What can I plant that they won't touch?

Deer will eat almost anything if they're hungry enough so there are no guarantees, but they generally do not bother the following plants:
Berberis spp. (Common Barberry); Buxus sempervirens (Common Boxwood); Calyeanthus occidentalis (Western Spice Bush); Celastrus scandens (American Bittersweet); Cotinus coggygria (Smoke Tree); Enkianthus campanulatus (Redvein Enkianthus) and Forsythia. Hope one of these suggestions is just right for your garden.
