I'm trying to identify a type of petunia. I think it's an older variety that blooms in white, pink and lavender, single rather than double flower and probably reseeds itself from year-to-year. Can you help me find seeds for this? |
I believe you're looking for Multiflora petunias. Several years ago, I grew some from seed purchased from Shepherd's Garden seeds (www.shepherdseeds.com; ph# 860/482-3638). They were fantastic performers, so different in appearance than the standard nursery types you see at every garden center! The colors were pure and clear and they just didn't quit. They do self-seed, but the offspring are often white-bloomed. Burpee Seeds (www.burpee.com; ph# 800/888-1447) also offers Multifloras, and their mix includes some bicolors. Enjoy! |
