The Q&A Archives: Killing Grass

Question: How doyou kill grass so that it won't come back in your flowerbeds

Answer: Charles,

There are products which kill grass but don't hurt broadleaf plants such as shrubs and most flowers. These typically contain the active ingredient fluazifop or sethoxydim. Another option is to use a general purpose weed killer with the ingredient glyphosate in a wiper applicator so that you just get it on the weed and not on desirable plants.
