I recently planted a row of arborvitae and have noticed that some of the branch tips have turned yellow. Is this a normal reaction in newly planted Arborvitae or does this mean something else?

It could be a reaction to being transplanted, or it might indicate a soil problem - either too wet or too dry. Be sure to water your new shrubs deeply once each week (unless rainfall equals an inch). Deep watering will help your plants develop a deep root system which will help them maintain good health during the dry months of the year. Best wishes with your garden.
