I have a tree rose (CRIMSON BOUQUET) It looses its foliage constantly
Leaves turn yellow with dark brown or black spots. First the stem dies then the leave. What can I do to prevent? I have another tree rose, ABOUT FACe that has a similiar problem but not as severe. So far the flowers are OK but continued loss of foliage will kill tree.

Thanks

Michael

Michael,

The brown spots on the leaves and leaves turning yellow is the fungal disease black spot. Your local garden center sells sprays for such a problem. The black shoots sound like some type of canker disease. Prune them out a couple of inches below the black area and spray the bush with the product you purchased for the black spot disease.
